Dress Up Games and Blogging

I saw an excellent blog the other day related to dress up games. Normally you think of information on blogs – perhaps a review or something interesting to note. This blog, however, dealt almost exclusively with the dress up games ladies play. It was a collection of outfits. The blogger running the site went online and found various outfits that were stylish, snazzy and timely.

She then drew from lots of different stores and blogs to find images and links to the items you’d need to make the outfit work out for a normal person. For example, one of the dress up games I saw was for a tailored suit. The blogger showed off a khaki suit that was easy to afford in a normal store. She then paired it up with a tailored shirt, shoes and accessories. All were readily available online and easy to buy making the outfit simple to snatch up and own.

Dress Up Games and Winter Fashion

Winter fashion is fun for everyone, unlike the summer fashion finds that are often more suitable for those with a smaller, thinner body. In the winter, you can wear clothing that comes together into fashionable outfits and actually start to enjoy the dress up games again now that layers are expected. In the winter, fashion arrives in layers so that you can stay warm throughout the day and also shed layers if you start to get warm inside.

For those with thicker bodies, the dress up games give you the options that you may not have in shorts and tank top weather. In the winter, you can throw on your favorite, flattering jeans or cords and then pile on a layer of t-shirt followed by a sweater. Then you can top it all off with a great jacket and your look is just about complete. The final element for any dress up games in the winter is a pair of killer boots, of course!

Dress Up Games and Winter Months

In the winter months your dress up games get to go up a notch. You get to enjoy the concept of layers during this time, which is especially fun for those of us who may not look our very best in filmy shirts and short shorts. With layers you can structure a look that works with our best features and hides those features that we don’t consider quite as flattering.

For example, the winter months are a great time to include jackets in your dress up games. If you pair jeans with a thin shirt or sweater, you can toss on a blazer or jacket and then enjoy the warmth of those layers all day long. Pull on your tall boots over the skinny jeans and you’re in business. By simply buying a handful of structured blazers and a couple pairs of tall, sexy boots you can create dress up games that are easy to pull on in the mornings and even easier to pair up for fresh dress up games all season long.

The Wonderful World of Dress Up Games

Dress up games are wonderful for so many reasons, but the best feature of the dress up games is the ability to change not only your personal style, but your preferences for how you appear as well. You can change your entire personality through dress up games – it’s much simpler than you might imagine. To make an entirely new you, all you have to do is decide to create a new hairstyle or clothing look. Imagine how different you’d look if you suddenly showed up in a mini skirt with chunky streaks of color in your hair – it would be a totally new you!

Dress up games are like that. Make an appointment in a spa or salon and then you’re able to transform yourself with a few hours of beauty treatments, a bit of hair coloring and then some new clothing. You want to look great, so why not invest some time and energy into making sure that you absolutely do present the most attractive picture possible to others?

Dress Up Games and the Office

I read an article in a popular women’s fashion magazine last week that made me a bit shocked and worried for young office workers out there. Already there is so little to help would-be professional women out in the office politics and games, but to get bad fashion advice on top of that is truly terrible. If you’re looking for the right things to wear to the office, you don’t need to look any farther than traditional dress up games.

In the article, women were told that slits in their skirts should not come any higher than their fingertips when standing. The same goes for length of skirt. There is a big problem here! Ask any female CEO or higher up how long a skirt should be and you’ll get one answer – below the knees. Wearing a short skirt can be very fashionable, of course, but it’s not at all professional.

This is one dress up game you can win if you’re going to plan ahead. Think of the classy looks pulled off by powerful business people. Skip shopping in juniors in your dressing games and go right to the power suits. You want clothing that fits well, is well made and modest. That is how you play dress up games in the office!

Dress Up Games and Long Hair

There comes a time for those of us who love dress up games to figure out what to do with our long hair. Every girl with long hair has gone through this phase – this is when you start asking questions like, “What would I look like with short hair?” and you decide that having shorter hair would be so much easier to control on a daily basis and style. But for those of us who love dress up games, having all of that long hair is actually something special – there are so many things you can do with it.

That’s not to say, however, that long hair can’t get on your nerves sometimes. It requires styling, of course, and long hair is often very heavy hair. If your hair is heavy, it’s hard to pull it up into a high ponytail or even a twist since the hair actually will break and pull. It’s best to wear it down, but that gets hot and sticky at times. Perhaps what we need to do when we reach this point is dedicate a few dress up games to simply figuring out what we should do with our long hair!

Dress Up Games and Comfort

There’s a strange paradox between dress up games and being comfortable. When we think of being comfortable, we immediately consider things like pajama pants and tank tops. But sadly the clothing that we usually wear for comfort doesn't transcend well into dress up games. But why do dress up games have to be uncomfortable? There’s no rule saying you have to squeeze into clothing you don’t actually like just to enjoy fashion. The best part of dress up games is finding the fashion that works best for you – and if you like comfort, your fashion should show that as well.

While there are plenty of new styles and fashion, it doesn't mean that you have to commit to any of them. If you don’t like the way skinny jeans fit, don’t buy them. You can be absolutely comfortable and still look adorable. Consider maxi dresses and skirts. Loose, comfortable and flattering for most of us, maxi dresses are easy to throw on around the house or out to the stores. Pull on some comfortable sandals and you’re good to good in the spring and summer. In the winter months, you can create a similar look with boots and long skirts – easy, attractive and comfortable dress up games.
