This is the time of year that I really start to enjoy dress up games. It’s getting warm outside and that means that the best fashions of the year are really starting to show up and I think it’s terrific to be able to dress up, look great and feel wonderful about my personal style as well. When you stop to consider the summer fashion looks, you’ll notice that there are many different preferences for clothing styles – I’m too old now for short shorts and mini dresses, but that’s okay. They aren’t as comfortable as some of the more conservative styles anyhow.

The best dress up games are those that blend some current fashion and style with a look that is also comfortable and pulled together. Pick up a pair of shorts, for example, and pair them with a cute shirt and sandals and you have a dress up game look that is worthy of summer. Pair the shorts with a sloppy t-shirt and flip flops and you look like you’re back in high school. This year, on Valentine’s Day, I’m going to be playing some serious dress up games. Why is this year so special? This year I have someone special in my life is going to be doing something thoughtful for me, and I want to be sure that I look my very best. I normally pull myself together reasonably well for work. I want to look presentable, of course, but in a few days I’m going to do something a bit more than presentable. I want to really shine.

To start my dress up games, I’m going to call over my best friend. She’ll help me go through my closet and find the right clothing for the big day. I want to look casual – this is still school, after all – but I want to look better than good. The right jeans and slinky top are probably on the list for clothing. Because it’s still cold, I can get away with some great boots to dress things up a bit. Then, my friend will help me decide on the right hairstyle for the day. On Valentine’s Day I’ll pull myself together and show up ready for a bit of fun at school. I might even make his day and bring him something fun to enjoy on the most romantic holiday as well.

The best thing about winter down where I live is that it simply doesn't last that long. Of course we’d all like a chance to wear those killer boots for more than just a few weeks, but as the warmer weather approaches, it’s time to actually dig around in your closet and find the right dress up games for the spring. The blogger running the site went online and found various outfits that were stylish, snazzy and timely.

She then drew from lots of different stores and blogs to find images and links to the items you’d need to make the outfit work out for a normal person. For example, one of the dress up games I saw was for a tailored suit. The blogger showed off a khaki suit that was easy to afford in a normal store. She then paired it up with a tailored shirt, shoes and accessories. All were readily available online and easy to buy making the outfit simple to snatch up and own.

That posture is exactly what you need to lose five pounds immediately.

One of the things that we often don’t notice on models is their natural glow. How is it that the models who are always playing dress up games get to be suntanned, but the rest of us are told to stay out of the sun and protect our skin? Walk, walk and walk some more until you're comfortable taking normal steps without shuffling or feeling like you're teetering over at any moment. Now that the spring months are upon us, it’s an excellent time to take advantage of the warm months and the inspired feelings of spring cleaning to purge all of the unnecessary items from your closet and drawers. Use a deep spring cleaning as the perfect excuse for some fun dress up games. Start with a giant heap of clothing in the center of your room. Pull everything you own out of drawers, out of the closet and out from under the bed. Include accessories like shoes and belts in this pile.

Then start sorting through the pile. Try on everything there to see what you like, what you only wish you like and what you never really liked. If you bought something and never wore it, you might give it another chance, but most likely it just needs to be placed into the thrift store or donation box. The same is true for shoes you bought, but never found a chance to wear.

Anything that doesn’t fit or is trashed or stained gets thrown out. You might discover some items you’ve forgotten about, and you can add those to your keep pile, but at the end of the day you should have a nice stack of donations and only clothing left that you actually love to wear.

It’s had to get excited about dress up games if you haven’t had enough sleep. Imagine waking up and not feeling tired. You would pop out of bed and find a great outfit to start your day. You wouldn’t mind putting on a few things and pulling them off again if they weren’t just the right look for your day. As you worked through your closet you’d only feel more energized and then, once you’ve arranged the final outfit for the day, you’d head off to school with a spring in your step and a feeling of success.

Of course, if you’re not getting eight to nine hours of sleep each day, you’re not going to enjoy finding the clothing nearly as much. You’re probably going to stumble into clothes are easy to pull on and not particularly brilliant. Who can be brilliant when she is exhausted, anyhow? Comfortable clothing is the name of the game and blending in as much as possible with what every else is wearing can’t hurt either. You’ll be able to stumble through your day, exhausted, without anyone getting in your way. Sure you can make it through your day without enough sleep, but your fashion and your dress up games will most certainly suffer for it.
