Dress Up Games: Not Just Girls Anymore

If you think dress up games are just dolls of random girls waiting to be clothed in updated styles – think again. There are some great dolls out there of beautiful and cute girls, but that’s not the only option when it comes time to dress up games. You don’t have to just dress up girls. You can dress celebrities, groups, mermaids, fairies, and even boys!

If you played with regular paper dolls at anytime in the past, you’re familiar with the basics of dress up games. You cut out the base of the doll and then you carefully cut out all of the clothing. You then can align the clothing over the base and dress your doll in a dazzling array of twelve outfits.

Online, however, you can pick and choose any base and then find a coordinating outfit in a matter of seconds. Tired of the basic girl doll? Switch to mermaids, elves or even your favorite hottie. There are even dress up games where you can dress Orlando Bloom or Zac Efron.

Dressing up characters is part of the fun, but so is using the completed dolls as the basis for your imagination. Make a few dolls and then create your own stories for the red carpet involving all of your favorite celebrities and band members as well as the occasional cute girl – maybe she can be you in your make-believe story.

Keep Your Parents Off Your Case with Dress Up Games

Parents whine and harp on you about using the internet. They just can’t help it. There are some very scary things that can happen out there to girls (and boys) who don’t know what they are doing. Fortunately you are smart enough to not start talking to strangers online and to never actually meet anyone from online – boy or girl.

But even though you’ve told your parents this time and time again, they are always concerned that you will do something stupid online. They might even limit your computer use to protect you.

Rather than give in when you really aren’t doing a thing wrong, show your parents they can trust you online by actually showing them the sites you visit. Let them into your profile and allow them access to your accounts on other sites.

Of course if you’re going to let your parents peek around your accounts now or in the future, you’d better keep it clean. It simply won’t do to try and convince your parents you’re using the internet wisely when you’re not. So keep yourself safe and keep your parents out of your hair by visiting cool websites like dress up games or your favorite movies and television channels, and staying well away from anything that might make them nervous.

Baby Dress Up Games

If you have a younger brother or sister, you know how much fun it is to dress little kids. Their clothes are so cute and most of the time they are willing to wear just about anything you want. Why not use that easy nature to pay some fun dress up games?

Ask your mom for some funds to buy your little sis a new outfit or two. Your mom will probably be agreeable since kids are always outgrowing their clothing. Be sure you know what size your little sister wears, or take her with you if she’s old enough to try things on at the stores.

Then head to the mall. Normally you’re shopping for your own clothes, but this time, you’ll be looking for something fun and stylish your little sister will look great in. Depending on how old your little sister (or brother) is, you’ll need to pick a store that sells clothes in that size. The Gap has stores for babies, toddlers and kids. Gymboree or Limited Too might also work. If all else fails, head to a department store – they have it all.

Look around and find something fun that is totally different than anything she already has. If you have enough funds, you should find some new shoes (be sure to get the right size beforehand) and maybe a hair bow or barrette. Then, dress her up the first chance you get to show off your dress up game skills.

Prom Rejects

Feeling a bit mischievous? Try this dress up game out for size. Head to a store that sells formal gowns. You can use a bridal style shop if you must, but it’s better if you play this sort of dress up game in a department store where you won’t have such a devoted sales lady.

Prom is over, but there are a lot of dresses still around that didn’t get sold or worn. If you didn’t go to prom maybe you should help those dresses out by trying them on! Grab a good friend and head to the store of your choice with a camera. Grab as many prom rejects as you can find on the sales racks and head to the fitting rooms.

Quietly grab a large dressing room to share or split up and start trying them on. When you find something you love take some pics just for fun. When you run out of pretty dresses, try on some of the more outlandish ones. The funnier or odder the better. Maybe you’ll love something so much, you can cough up the sales price to buy it for your future prom!

Dress for Success

There’s an old saying in business – you should dress for success. What that means is that you should dress the way you want to be perceived. If you want to be the boss, dress like the boss. If you want to the be the sloppy frazzled one, dress to suit. Of course, we’re not at work yet, but the same rules apply. You should always dress the way you want to appear to others.

I don’t just mean fashions. I mean you should dress the way you want others to think of you. Your grandmother is the best judge of this in the world. If she’s ever told you that so-and-so looks like a hood, or thug, or criminal – he might be the nicest guy in the world, but he’ll likely be thought of that way by a large portion of people in your grandmother’s generation at least.

Obviously your grandmother isn’t the best judge of style and current fashions and she might be prejudiced, but always remember not every fashion is right for you. Clothes you’d wear to a party of the beach are not suitable for school or church. Well, not usually – I guess it depends on your school or church.

Nobody likes to be judged, especially not by their appearance, but unfortunately, these things do happen. Dress the way you feel most comfortable, but always think about how you appear to others and how you can use that image to help yourself. The way you feel in your clothes and the choices you actually make in life are much more important than what strangers might think of you on the street.

Prepare Your Wardrobe for Summer

It’s almost summer and the hot weather is making us ready for swimsuits and shorts. As the sun heats up, the heavy winter clothing can be put away. Of course, you’ll need to hang on to a sweatshirt to keep from freezing in the air conditioned school these last few days, but other than that, shove the winter clothes into the back of the closet and dig out your favorite shorts and halters. It’s summertime!

Getting Ready
You might not be heading to the beach or pool yet, but that’s no reason you shouldn’t be ready for that first pool party invite. Pull out all of your clothes and play dress up games in the mirror. See what fits from last year and what outfits are still in style and which can go. If you need help pulling together the latest styles, online dress up games can help.

Filling The Gaps
Once you’ve assessed what’s already in your closet, you need to fill in the gaps. Head to the stores with the intention of grabbing a few trendy pieces, like madras shorts, as well as any basics you might have outgrown from last year such as tanks and halters. Of course, you’ll need a terrific bathing suit as well.

Organize
Finally, organize your new summer wardrobe so that you can reach a terrific outfit in minutes. That way, you’ll always be ready to go for whatever exciting opportunity comes along.
