Everyone Should Play Dress Up Games

I think everyone should play dress up game and here’s why:

Walk a Mile in Her Designer Pumps
If we all took the time to look at how others dress and think about why they make the choices they do, we might have a greater understanding of their look and style. It goes back to the old saying, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. If you don’t try the shoes on, you’ll never know how it feels to walk in them.

Choice is an Option
Too often we get situated in a clothing style that never varies and never gives us a whole lot of variety. After all, if you’re known as the “punk” girl, you can’t suddenly become the “prep” girl without someone noticing and likely making comments. But playing dress up games gives you a choice of styles. Try out what works for you and if you love it, wear it. If you hate it – don’t. Don’t worry so much about what category the clothing falls into.

It’s Just Clothes
Finally, we should take everything back to the basics. After all, everything you’re putting on in the morning is clothing. – simple items made from cloth and thread. Playing dress up games reminds of us of how powerful and different a single piece of clothing can be.

Beat the Blues with Dress Up Games

When the economy has you down or you just need a break from the whining news reporters telling us the latest bad news about the housing market or job losses, take yourself online to one of the more entertaining games around – dress up games.

When you were younger, you likely enjoyed playing dress up with your princess gowns and tiaras. Now that you’re a bit older, there is nothing stopping you from playing another kind of dress up game – the kind that can be accessed from anywhere for a pure escape into fantasy and fun.

In dress up games, you have a doll base much like a Barbie. Select clothing for your doll from the many different selections. Some games have ready made outfits, but the best have literally thousands of options you can combine to make your doll as unique as you like.

Start with the basics like pants and a shirt and start adding on additional layers and a few accessories. Add a hat, a purse, and finally a background to your entire scene and you’ll be on your way to fashion designer status.

Dress Up Games Are Good For the Soul

When there is nothing but bad news about, you need something to take your mind off the rough spots. For many, things like romance novels and reality television help to block off the bad thoughts about the economy and the state of global affairs, but when you only have a few minutes but need time to really clear you mind, skip meditation and try dress up games instead.

Dress up games are naturally refreshing. To effectively relax your mind, you should do something that uses only pleasurable, no stress parts of your mind. There is no stress involved in selecting great outfits for the online models to wear. You can relax and play, just like you did years ago when the world wasn’t on your shoulders. Put your cares aside for a bit and just enjoy the simple pleasures of life again.

When playing dress up game, work to clear your mind of all outside contamination. Make picking the right mini skirt or boots for your doll the most important thing you’ll do all day. Building a fashion look takes creativity and possibly even problem solving – two skills that normally wear your brain out. However today you’ll find yourself refreshed and ready to take on more “real” work.

Watching Dress Up Games

I think the most fun I’ve ever had is watching others play dress up games. Here are a few of my favorite dress up game scenarios.

Little Sister Dress Up Games
I love to watch my little sister play with her collection of costumes and accessories. She can become any princess known to man at will, including the mermaid one. But when she pulls on a golden ball gown, she doesn’t just become a princess ready to dance with the Beast, she’s taking on an entirely new personality.

When my little sister gets dressed up, she opens up her world and begins acting the way she thinks that princess should act. She’s designed a separate personality almost for every princess and there is nothing funnier than watching her dress up her friends and boss them around as well.

Makeover Show Dress Up Games
I’m also a sucker for the makeover games that they play on various talk-shows. Sometimes I’ll even sit for hours watching the various dress up games on television. They seem to be highly addicting.

Valentine's Dress Up Games

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re in the mood to play dress up games, this is an excellent day to have fun with – everyone else seems to take flowers and such so seriously.

Create Matching T-shirts
Grab some white t-shirts, some rubber bands and a bit of clothing dye in red or pink. Then, twist and bunch your shirts together using the rubber bands to secure them. When the shirts are ready, make the dye and dunk each shirt multiple times in the dye to create the final product – matching tie-dyed t-shirts to commemorate the holiday.

Dress as Love
You can also push the dress code boundaries at your school by dressing as the god and goddess of love. Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love. Dressing in a full gown similar to the ones worn by the ancient Greek goddesses should be simple enough if you’re handy with a needle. Of course, dressing up as cupid, often shown as a diapered child, will be a bit trickier – especially if you bring the bow and arrow.

The Anti-Valentine
While not especially romantic and not very cheerful, you can express your disregard for the trappings of Valentine’s Day by wearing all black or gray – as if you’re morning what the Valentine’s Day holiday is all about. Dead roses might be just what you need to complete the look.

Starting Your Own Business

If you’re looking for a nice part-time income, you can specialize in offering dress up games to others. It’s actually pretty easy.

Have your sister invite some of her friends over for a dress up party. Then, Use your makeup, accessories and some glitter to really make the girls shine. If they are young enough, you can probably use your old dress up clothing, too to make things more fun.

Then, once you’ve practiced, let the parents of your sister’s friends know that you are available to do birthday parties and such. It’s very likely that you’ll become popular if you get along well with the little girls and they leave happy. For bigger parties, you’ll probably want to bring a friend along to help style everyone’s hair.

The flexibility and the freedom of having your own dress up business will be especially fun when you compare notes with the friends working in retail or fast food. There is nothing better than being in business for yourself.

Playing with Your Little Sister

Sometimes you have to play with your little sister – you mom tells you so. But when you’re forced into watching your little sister or decide to take pity on her for a bit and hang out, you can still have a good time. You can use dress up games to entertain yourself and make her feel extra special

Chances are, your little sis loves the clothing in your closet and wants to be just like you. So let her dig around and find her favorite items. It won’t hurt anything to let her pick out her favorite items. Help her get dressed in the clothing and then find killer accessories to go along with the basics.

Finish by doing a bit of makeup and straightening her hair. Finally take a few pictures. Trust me, you might not think much of the pictures now, but she’ll treasure them and you might find you’re glad you have one down the road, too.
