Dress Up Games and Blogging

I saw an excellent blog the other day related to dress up games. Normally you think of information on blogs – perhaps a review or something interesting to note. This blog, however, dealt almost exclusively with the dress up games ladies play. It was a collection of outfits. The blogger running the site went online and found various outfits that were stylish, snazzy and timely.

She then drew from lots of different stores and blogs to find images and links to the items you’d need to make the outfit work out for a normal person. For example, one of the dress up games I saw was for a tailored suit. The blogger showed off a khaki suit that was easy to afford in a normal store. She then paired it up with a tailored shirt, shoes and accessories. All were readily available online and easy to buy making the outfit simple to snatch up and own.

Dress Up Games and Winter Fashion

Winter fashion is fun for everyone, unlike the summer fashion finds that are often more suitable for those with a smaller, thinner body. In the winter, you can wear clothing that comes together into fashionable outfits and actually start to enjoy the dress up games again now that layers are expected. In the winter, fashion arrives in layers so that you can stay warm throughout the day and also shed layers if you start to get warm inside.

For those with thicker bodies, the dress up games give you the options that you may not have in shorts and tank top weather. In the winter, you can throw on your favorite, flattering jeans or cords and then pile on a layer of t-shirt followed by a sweater. Then you can top it all off with a great jacket and your look is just about complete. The final element for any dress up games in the winter is a pair of killer boots, of course!

Dress Up Games and Winter Months

In the winter months your dress up games get to go up a notch. You get to enjoy the concept of layers during this time, which is especially fun for those of us who may not look our very best in filmy shirts and short shorts. With layers you can structure a look that works with our best features and hides those features that we don’t consider quite as flattering.

For example, the winter months are a great time to include jackets in your dress up games. If you pair jeans with a thin shirt or sweater, you can toss on a blazer or jacket and then enjoy the warmth of those layers all day long. Pull on your tall boots over the skinny jeans and you’re in business. By simply buying a handful of structured blazers and a couple pairs of tall, sexy boots you can create dress up games that are easy to pull on in the mornings and even easier to pair up for fresh dress up games all season long.

The Wonderful World of Dress Up Games

Dress up games are wonderful for so many reasons, but the best feature of the dress up games is the ability to change not only your personal style, but your preferences for how you appear as well. You can change your entire personality through dress up games – it’s much simpler than you might imagine. To make an entirely new you, all you have to do is decide to create a new hairstyle or clothing look. Imagine how different you’d look if you suddenly showed up in a mini skirt with chunky streaks of color in your hair – it would be a totally new you!

Dress up games are like that. Make an appointment in a spa or salon and then you’re able to transform yourself with a few hours of beauty treatments, a bit of hair coloring and then some new clothing. You want to look great, so why not invest some time and energy into making sure that you absolutely do present the most attractive picture possible to others?

Dress Up Games and the Office

I read an article in a popular women’s fashion magazine last week that made me a bit shocked and worried for young office workers out there. Already there is so little to help would-be professional women out in the office politics and games, but to get bad fashion advice on top of that is truly terrible. If you’re looking for the right things to wear to the office, you don’t need to look any farther than traditional dress up games.

In the article, women were told that slits in their skirts should not come any higher than their fingertips when standing. The same goes for length of skirt. There is a big problem here! Ask any female CEO or higher up how long a skirt should be and you’ll get one answer – below the knees. Wearing a short skirt can be very fashionable, of course, but it’s not at all professional.

This is one dress up game you can win if you’re going to plan ahead. Think of the classy looks pulled off by powerful business people. Skip shopping in juniors in your dressing games and go right to the power suits. You want clothing that fits well, is well made and modest. That is how you play dress up games in the office!

Dress Up Games and Long Hair

There comes a time for those of us who love dress up games to figure out what to do with our long hair. Every girl with long hair has gone through this phase – this is when you start asking questions like, “What would I look like with short hair?” and you decide that having shorter hair would be so much easier to control on a daily basis and style. But for those of us who love dress up games, having all of that long hair is actually something special – there are so many things you can do with it.

That’s not to say, however, that long hair can’t get on your nerves sometimes. It requires styling, of course, and long hair is often very heavy hair. If your hair is heavy, it’s hard to pull it up into a high ponytail or even a twist since the hair actually will break and pull. It’s best to wear it down, but that gets hot and sticky at times. Perhaps what we need to do when we reach this point is dedicate a few dress up games to simply figuring out what we should do with our long hair!

Dress Up Games and Comfort

There’s a strange paradox between dress up games and being comfortable. When we think of being comfortable, we immediately consider things like pajama pants and tank tops. But sadly the clothing that we usually wear for comfort doesn't transcend well into dress up games. But why do dress up games have to be uncomfortable? There’s no rule saying you have to squeeze into clothing you don’t actually like just to enjoy fashion. The best part of dress up games is finding the fashion that works best for you – and if you like comfort, your fashion should show that as well.

While there are plenty of new styles and fashion, it doesn't mean that you have to commit to any of them. If you don’t like the way skinny jeans fit, don’t buy them. You can be absolutely comfortable and still look adorable. Consider maxi dresses and skirts. Loose, comfortable and flattering for most of us, maxi dresses are easy to throw on around the house or out to the stores. Pull on some comfortable sandals and you’re good to good in the spring and summer. In the winter months, you can create a similar look with boots and long skirts – easy, attractive and comfortable dress up games.

Dress Up Games When You're Overweight

Most of the time playing dress up games seems to be reserved for those who are perfectly fit and slender. But that's not the way it in the real world that we live in. In our world, most of the girls out there who enjoy dress up games are a mix of shapes and sizes - a handful might be a size 2 or below, but the rest are more natural sizes, including more full figured beauties. I, for one, feel that overweight women should enjoy dress up games just as much as slender counterparts.

If anything being overweight should make it more likely that you'll benefit from playing dress up games. A skinny body can wear just about anything. A body that is more full-figured should choose clothing more carefully so that you're flattering your curves and showing off your best parts while playing down those that might be a bit less flattering. Dress up games are the perfect time to practice dressing the body you have to perfection, regardless of its size and shape.

Dress Up Games and Good Times

Dress up games are one of the easiest ways to have a good time online – you don’t need any headphones and you certainly won’t be talking to others through microphones when you’re playing dress up games. These fun, online activities are simply a way to enjoy the possibilities of fashions and play dress up games with what amounts to online paper dolls. It’s the simplicity coupled with the sheer power of creativity that makes these games so power and fun for girls online.

Playing dress up games online is simple enough. When you get your doll base online, you can then dress her up like anything or anyone you want. The different varieties of the games makes it possible to try all sorts of different styles, combinations and arrangements until you find the one that not only suits you best but makes it possible to see the sort of fashion sense you enjoy and perhaps use that knowledge to improve your own fashion games in the future.

Dress Up Games and Back to School

This is the time of year when everyone gets busy preparing for back to school. The back to school season is prime time for dress up games since just about every kid out there needs some new school clothes and they want to look their very best for the year ahead. Of course, picking out the right school clothes is a matter of trying them on and making new and exciting combinations, and this is where the true dress up games come into play.

Dress up games are easy to play and fun to watch if you happen to go back to school shopping with a friend. As you start digging through the racks of school clothing, look for items that are not only suitable for school, but those that express your personality as well. You'll want to be sure you don't break any of the rules about how long shorts can be and what sorts of shirts are appropriate, but do push the limits a bit to be sure your dress up games are a true reflection of what you enjoy.

Dress Up Games and Vacation

Going on vacation is one of the most exciting aspects of travel and you can’t travel without thinking seriously about the sort of dress up games you’ll be playing while you’re on vacation. Of course, the dress up games that you choose to play depend heavily on the sort of places you’ll be visiting on your trip. Some areas and destinations put more emphasis on fashion than others, but regardless of your destination, finding the right thing to wear is critical.

Before you start your vacation, do some research on the sorts of fashion that are considered appropriated and what is expected. For example, a lot of all-inclusive resorts include a fancy restaurant where you can dress to dine. The same is true on cruise ships. Another consideration are the cultural elements in the cities you’re seeing. In Italy, for example, you shouldn’t wear athletic shoes unless you’re actually exercising. Understanding the cultural elements of your destination makes dress up games on your vacation that much more enjoyable.

The Basics of Dress Up Games

Dress up games are as old as time. Who doesn't love getting dressed up? Normally when you think of dress up games you might be considering the games where little girls pull on costumes and princess outfits so that they can have fashion parades and runway shows. While that is a truly classic dress up game that will never go out of style, there are other dress up game options out there that might be more appealing for a mom who is trying to keep the house clean for company.

Online dress up games are a simple way to play with fashion and styles for little girls as well as older ones. In the dress up games, girls have a choice of virtually any sort of character and fashions. You may find yourself dressing up a bride for her wedding day or maybe a fairy with enchanted, magical wings. From old fashioned styles to fantasy adventures, there are endless options when it comes to online dress up games. Simply choose the game you want to play, drag the clothing over to the doll base and you’re in business!

Dress Up Games and Looking Trim

If you’re enjoying dress up games, you probably already know some of the tricks to the trade. You know how to prepare your undergarments and posture so that you look trim and fit in every outfit you put on, but just in case you’ve forgotten, let’s go over some of the basics here.

Smooth Out Bulges
There are so many excellent undergarments that are designed to smooth away ripples, bumps and lumps today. The foundation garments are actually comfortable enough to be worn every day under your clothing and they smooth your body down so that clothing fits comfortable and smoothly – no muffin tops here!

Stand Up Straight
Perhaps the easiest way to trim a few inches is to stand up straight. We have a tendency to slouch, so stand up straight and proud and break the slouching habit. When you stand up straight, you should imagine a string running down your spine. If an imaginary puppet master in the sky held you up by your string, how would you stand? That posture is exactly what you need to lose five pounds immediately.

Dress Up Games and Spray Tans

One of the things that we often don’t notice on models is their natural glow. How is it that the models who are always playing dress up games get to be suntanned, but the rest of us are told to stay out of the sun and protect our skin? The answer is actually a bit simpler than you might think. The beautifully tan that the models are sporting isn’t real – it’s certainly a healthy glow, but it comes directly out of a spray can.

Fortunately, the spray tan that the models in the dress up games are sporting is available to everyone. You can get your own spray tan by running down to the drug store and picking up an aerosol can of tanning spray. Or, if you have the budget for it, start your own dress up games by heading to a spray tanning salon where you can enjoy a professional spray tan.

When you do spray tan, be sure that you’ve showered recently and exfoliated your skin briskly. The tan will last much longer on clean, healthy skin. Once the spray tan is in place, protect it by avoiding water for twelve hours or so and then applying lotion as often as possible to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Dress Up Games and High Heels

If you're going to wear high heels, you should absolutely spend plenty of time practicing in them first. Dress up games with high heels are often hilarious to watch if you're watching someone who is trying to wear shoes they aren't comfortable in. The higher a heel and the narrower the heel, the more balance you'll need to have in order to simply walk across a room. That's not to mention that your dress up games can be foiled by the type of flooring as well.

When you're going to try wearing some super high heels, take them outside first and scuff up the soles on concrete. This will help the shoes not be slippery as you walk. Then, put on your shoes and just start walking. Break in the shoes by wearing them around the house as you go about your day. If you have to balance yourself while you walk, you're not ready to wear them out yet. Walk, walk and walk some more until you're comfortable taking normal steps without shuffling or feeling like you're teetering over at any moment. Practice is the key to using high heels in dress up games after all.

Dress Up Games and Vacations

There’s something about vacation plans that bring out the shopper in all of us. How is it that we can find so many fun things to do on a vacation that we just can’t do at home? Suddenly eating dinner is a cause for finery and dress up! Going for a walk requires an entirely new pair of shoes! Fortunately dress up games are not only fun on vacations, but perfectly reasonable as well –after all, this is a great opportunity to really enjoy yourself and new fashion is the perfect way to get started.

Before you head out on your big vacation, make some stops by your favorite stores for some serious dress up games. Think ahead about what you’ll be doing on your vacation so that you’re sure to get the right clothing for the job. Your dress up games should include outfits you can wear on your vacation as well as clothing you can enjoy on other days without too much fuss or muss. When you’re looking for new vacation clothing, be sure to get some new shoes and accessories as well.

Dress Up Games and Super Heroes

Who doesn’t want to be a super hero? Dress up games are a great way to introduce the idea of the true superhero – the person who knows no enemies and is able to save others from bad choices. Perhaps if you were to teach your little sister or brother what playing dress up games is all about, you’d be able to play along with them, even if super heroes isn’t exactly what others your age are playing right now.

Super heroes are a thing of the past for most of us now. We don’t put a towel around our shoulders and run around the room making up stories about saving other people or avoiding the lava on the ground. But maybe we should. Find someone younger than you who needs to understand what the dress up games are really all about. Help them tie on that cape and strap on the shoes that are made to run faster than anything alive today. Then, power up the imagination to put those dress up games to truly good use.

Dress Up Games and Skincare

It’s funny, really, how much goes into dress up games that isn’t related to the clothing itself. As the warmer months come around, it’s suddenly more important to remember the more extensive grooming that happens in the spring and summer so that your clothing fits well, looks great and all of that skin that hasn’t been exposed for months is fresh and ready for viewing. Skincare is very much a part of dress up games, and if you spend time working on your skin, the dress up games you’re playing will be even lovelier.

Summer brings on shorts, tank-tops, sundresses and bathing suits. It’s likely that you kept your skin covered all summer long, and the first time you pull on a swimsuit you may feel like going into shock over all of the exposed body hair and dry skin patches. Get started immediately with your skin care for the dress up games. An appointment for waxing will help some of the hair or grab a razor and exfoliator and hop in the shower. Scrub at your feet, your elbows and your whole body to remove the dry skin and then moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. This summer your dress up games will be great.

Dress Up Games and Hand-Me-Downs

If you have an older sister, you already know the value of hand-me downs. Of course, you may not be thrilled to have to wear your sister’s old clothing, but there is definitely some value in pulling on clothing that might be just what you’re looking for in terms of new something that is basically free. Of course, if you don’t have an older sister you might not be able to benefit quite as much from hand-me-downs, but you can still play plenty of dress up games if you seek out your own new old clothing.

Ask your friends if they have cleaned out their closets lately. Then clean out your own closet. Bring everyone together with the rejects from closets and toss them onto the floor or a bed. Start sorting through the items to find anything that might be fun to use in your own dress up games. You never know when someone’s old jeans might be exactly what you need to make your new cut-off shorts. And that dress that you only wore once might be perfect for a friend’s summer date.

Dress Up Games for Little Girls

We always love a good dress up game, and the dress up games for girls are an excellent way to encourage creativity and inspiration when it comes to little sisters or daughters. Sitting down with your young one and encouraging her to play dress up games can pay off nicely as she gets older and realizes just how much there is to gain from the exciting world of fashion.

To encourage dress up games for little girls, you'll first need to establish a box of clothing that is suitable for the little girl to play with. Go through your closet and find the clothing that you no longer wear. Look especially for clothing that is fun and brightly colored. Little girls enjoy fun dresses and high heels much more than they enjoy anything beige and bland. Look for pretty things or interesting things, and don't stress too much about the rest- the little girl in your life will probably take care of it for you.

Dress Up Games and Spring

It’s spring – finally – and that means it’s time for some serious spring cleaning. To start your spring cleaning, why not play some of your favorite dress up games. The dress up games you’ve played in the past online are just the inspiration you need to pull things out of your closet and start trying them on bit by bit. Put new outfits together and see what sort of creative ideas you can manage in the fashion world. Soon you’ll have a beautiful look and a compact wardrobe as well since you can get rid of the extra stuff you don’t use or need anymore.

Then, once you’ve finished your spring cleaning with some dress up games, head over to the thrift stores to see what others have come up with in terms of spring cleaning – they may have discarded some clothing items that you realize you just can’t live without. And picking up some new styles for a dollar or two per item is not only fun, but rewarding as well – you can get a whole outfit for less than a Value Meal.

Dress Up Games and Spring Clean Out

Now that the spring months are upon us, it’s an excellent time to take advantage of the warm months and the inspired feelings of spring cleaning to purge all of the unnecessary items from your closet and drawers. Use a deep spring cleaning as the perfect excuse for some fun dress up games. Start with a giant heap of clothing in the center of your room. Pull everything you own out of drawers, out of the closet and out from under the bed. Include accessories like shoes and belts in this pile.

Then start sorting through the pile. Try on everything there to see what you like, what you only wish you like and what you never really liked. If you bought something and never wore it, you might give it another chance, but most likely it just needs to be placed into the thrift store or donation box. The same is true for shoes you bought, but never found a chance to wear.

Anything that doesn’t fit or is trashed or stained gets thrown out. You might discover some items you’ve forgotten about, and you can add those to your keep pile, but at the end of the day you should have a nice stack of donations and only clothing left that you actually love to wear.

Dress Up Games and Cameras

While dress up games are always fun and exciting, there is even more fun to be had if you’re playing along with your best friend. Grab a friend and bring along your phone or another camera so that you can record the awesome outfits you put together. Start in a big store that has lots to see and do. Of course, you’ll want to find a store that has plenty of clothing that you can all enjoy, so consider a department store where there is lots of variety.

Once you’re in the store grab your friend and start grabbing clothing items. The goal is to put together some great outfits. You can even have a contest if you’d like to see who can put what sort of clothing looks together the fastest. If you have a couple of friends together, you can have judging and plenty of different rounds as well. The two rules to the dress up games, however, are to put your clothing back when you’re done trying things on and to absolutely be sure to put the camera to use and get lots of pictures.

Dress Up Games Are Here to Stay

Dress up games are here to stay, especially with so many women losing weight after New Years. Those women who decided this was really the year to lose weight and get fit are starting to look for options they can choose when it comes to new clothing that fits their newly sculpted bodies more attractively. And the best way to find clothing that fits and looks great is through dress up games, of course!

Dress up games can be played even if you haven’t changed a size from your diet. If you’ve lost about ten pounds, for example, you’re likely not a whole size thinner just yet. But you may be thin enough to feel good in your clothing. If you’ve been putting off some skinny jeans, for example, these few pounds may be all you need to rush out and buy your very first pair! Of course you’re going to look great wearing them – it’s just a matter of finding confidence to try them all, and that only comes with weight loss dress up games.

Dress Up Games and Money

It’s that time of the year again! Christmas shopping is done, presents are opened and all of the holiday bills are coming in. It’s enough to make a girl want to put dress up games on hold for a bit. But money is no object to true fashion sense, especially if you’re willing and able to pick through the large collection of clothing to be had in garage sales and at thrift stores. In fact, you can compile an entirely new outfit for less than $20 if you really work hard at bargaining and shopping the sales.

The trick to finding fashion without much money is being willing to create your own look and, of course, you’re going to have to spend plenty of time rifling through clothing racks and bins. Bring a friend along for the ride and plug in your iPod if you’d like so that you’re comfortable and have some background music. Then just start looking for anything that strikes your fancy. Soon you’ll have a collection of jeans, tees, sweaters and jackets that are exactly what you need to enjoy some new dress up games.
