Dress Up Games and Your Parents
Many parents fail to understand that dress up games aren’t just something that four-year-olds play. Teens love to play dress up games, too and when you play dress up games as a teen there are more rules, but just as much fun. As a teen playing dress up, you can’t get away with wearing fairy wings and cowboy boots through the grocery store, but you can still spend hours putting together new styles of outfits to try.
You can work in your own closet, which your parents will likely understand. Playing with clothing you already own is simple enough. Try new varieties of the clothing you already wear to see if you can make something click in a new way. When you run out of options in your own clothing, take yourself to the mall and find some new pieces to try.
If you come home with pieces your parents find unusual, you might be in for a bit of a discussion, but hopefully they will be okay with you trying new things. If you simply can’t get them to bend on the style of clothing you wear around the house, you can also play dress up games online and practice creating your own styles on the internet where you parents simply can’t protest overly.
