If you like things from the past, you’ll love to play old fashioned dress up games. There are a few opportunities you have to play these sorts of games.
Antique Photos
The first opportunity is to take antique pictures. The pictures come out in sepia, or brown tones, and the subject of the photo (you) dress in clothing from a certain time period. Girls might don a bonnet and long dress and boys get to wear gun belts and top hats – although not together.
Costume Shops
Costume shops have the best old fashioned clothing that is suitable for parties and such. You can find ball gowns, flapper dresses and so many other treasures. You can try on some of the costumes in the store, but you’ll probably have to pay dearly to rent one to actually use for your event.
Thrift Shops and Estate Sales
Thrift stores and the occasional estate sale have a nice collection of gowns and other vintage clothing that is authentically from time gone by. In basement shops of major cities, you can find some true treasures. Likewise, if you visit estate sales, you might be lucky enough to find pieces of clothing or accessories that you can give new life to.
